Yonge Street Going to get Very Tall

Yonge Street is about to get very very tall.  With Aura already under construction at Yonge & Gerrard, the 75-storey mega tower is about get some company.  We recently ran an article that Lanterra purchased a plot of land just south of Yonge & Wellesley, and also added a new project that is going to be located just North of Yonge & College (21 Grenville) by Lifetime & CentreCourt.  We are now starting to get details on what is being proposed for those two sites.

Aura Condos – 75 Storeys Tall at Yonge & Gerrard is about to get some big company

Lanterra have made an official proposal for 2 58 storey towers that will house a total of 960 suites (by comparison, ICE 1, also by Lanterra is 57 storeys) and CentreCourt/Lifetime have made a proposal for a 52 storey tower to sit at Yonge & College (see the map below, and click on the pins for more details on the height of the building).  This stretch of Yonge is going to get real tall real quick, and we love it.  On the map below – Blue pins are currently built, Red pins indicate under construction, Yellow pins are current proposals.
