Incredible Renderings for 1 Yonge Site

Last Year we announced that Pinnacle International had made one of the largest land purchases in the history of Toronto when they purchased the site of the Toronto Star building at 1 Yonge for a mind numbing $255 million.  It has since been announced that a proposal for 5 brand new towers (which will stand 70, 75, 80, 80 and 88 storeys) and a reworking of the existing Toronto Star building that will bring it up to 40 storeys.

As the project starts to become more of a reality, renderings for the huge project have began to surface and, boy, are they incredible.

The project is designed by Toronto based Hariri Pontarini (whose CV includes large scope projects such as One Bloor, Shangri La, FIVE, Ordnance Triangle and Massey Tower among others) and features some very unique design features that could become a focal point in Toronto’s skyline.

We are extremely excited about these brand new towers (along with other major projects such as the Gehry+Mirvish tower in King West and the 83 Storey Hot Renfew Tower application) that will only help put Toronto on the map.

Amazing!
