Best Condo Projects of 2013 & Year in Review

2013 is coming to an end and we love to look back and celebrate the big winners of the year.

While the final numbers have not yet been confirmed, it is very likely that 2013 will report the lowest number of new condominium sales in the last 10 years with a projected 13,000-14,000 sales (10 year average is 18,000-20,000).  The drop in sales have been attributed to:

  • *Lowest number of new condominium launches in recent years.  Lack of new high quality investor projects located in the core of Toronto
  • *Market correcting itself from overselling in 2011 (2012 and 2013 have bought market averages back to normal)
  • *Emphasis on selling remaining inventory for projects

2013 has been a transitional year in the pre-construction condominium scene in Toronto and developers are already lining up to make 2014 the best year ever.

​Menkes have enjoyed tremendous levels of success in 2013 and deserve special praise.  The developers launched 2 incredible projects (Harbour Plaza Residences featuring two 60 storey towers and 365 Church) and also completed work at the world class Four Seasons Hotel & Residences in Yorkville and broke ground on One York (commercial tower attached to Harbour Plaza Residences).
