2015 in Review – The 7 Best Condo Projects of the Year

2015 was another incredible year for new condos in the Toronto Area with sales expected to be close to 20,000 for the year.  Developers continue to launch exciting projects in popular locations and our investors have been quick to snap up suites in some of these exciting projects.  Below is a list of our favourite projects of 2015.

1. Art Shoppe Condos by Freed Developments & Capital Developments

Art Shoppe Condos at Yonge & Eglinton was a project that was close to the locals hearts.  The project replaced the Art Shoppe building that has existed for almost a century and the developer paid homage to the popular furniture store by naming the project after it.

To add further luxurious appeal to the project, the developers hired international fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld to design the lobby in a building that will be upscale and and home to over 80,000 sq.ft. of brand new retail.  Art Shoppe is currently over 90% sold.

2. Grid Condos by CentreCourt Developments

Grid Condominiums is now 100% sold out, and it is easy to see why.  The development is located at Jarvis & Dundas and is designed with the Ryerson University student community in mind.

Grid Condos also marked another sell out for CentreCourt Developments, who have a track record for selling out all of their projects in record time.

3. 150 Redpath Condos by Freed Developments & Capital Developments

150 Redpath is the second phase of 155 Redpath Condos as Freed Developments bring a new type of flair to Yonge & Eglinton.

Luxurious finishes, including 9ft. ceilings, large balconies, custom kitchens and amazing amenities (including a rooftop pool and a 24 hour cafe that delivers to the pool!) make 150 Redpath an amazing condominium in one of Toronto’s fastest growing neighbourhoods.

4. Lighthouse Tower by Daniels

A lot of eyeballs were on what Daniels had planned for the old Guvernment Nightclub location.  The multi phase development which includes two commercial buildings, two residential towers and a slew of brand new retail in the courtyard got the entire investment community excited.

The project will also see an extension of Sugar Beach to the North and the towers will feature amazing water and city views throughout.

5. Clover on Yonge Condos by Cresford Developments

If you blinked, you might have missed Clover on Yonge.  The project is located on Yonge Street sandwiched between Wellesley and Bloor Street and was sold out in just three days.

The development will also feature a tie in with popular fashion label Van Cleef & Arpels and luxurious suites.

6. Whitehaus Condos by Lifetime Developments

Lifetime Developments launched Whitehaus Condominiums on Yonge Street just north of Eglinton.  The project will feature a huge retail component that will add to an already vibrant streetscape.  The project is just steps from the subway line and will be built by the same developer that bought us the Four Seasons Private Residences, Bisha Condos, Bond Condos and much more.

7. Pier 27 Tower at the Lake by Cityzen Developments

Waterfront luxurious living at it’s finest.  Pier 27 Phase 1 & 2 are among the most sought after condominiums in Toronto, so it only made sense that the Tower on the Lake would follow on and offer incredible waterfront living.
